The Bushwhacker Adventure Running Race Was A HUGE Success!
The Bushwhacker Adventure Running Race yesterday was tons of fun and a huge success! Athletes rose to the challenge of running/navigating their way approximately 10 miles from Fountainhead Regional Park to Hemlock Overlook. The main rules required racers to travel on foot, stay within park boundaries, and visit three checkpoints/aid stations along the way. Racers loved the ability to follow a well traveled trail but also the freedom to choose their own route, bushwhacking any portion of the ‘course’. It was a great day!

Blistering Times Produced At The Spring BYB Finale!
Just over 300 racers enjoyed crisp spring temperatures and sunny skies yesterday at the final race of the Spring Backyard Burn Trail Running Series. Racers posted some blistering times as they sped along the mostly flat, blue bell strewn trails at Wakefield. It was a great day of trail running action. Thanks to all the racers, volunteers, sponsors, and park authorities for helping to make this series so much fun and a wonderful success!

Racers Passed the Challenge at Hemlock!
Cold temps did not deter Backyard Burn racers from tackling the rugged course at Hemlock Overlook yesterday. With three significant hills on each lap of the course, it did not take long for competitors to warm up and get into the action. It was a great day!

Cold Temps Didn’t Stop the Burn!
Unseasonably cold temps in the upper 30’s and the threat of a very cold rain did not deter Backyard Burn competitors from tackling the rugged course at Hemlock Overlook yesterday. With three significant hills on each lap of the course, it did not take long for competitors to warm up. It was a great day of trail running action and a fitting end to the series and to the EX2 racing season!
